Who We Are
Our founder and Funeral Director, Luke Rushton, established Rushton Family Funerals with the vision of redefining the way families experience the process of saying farewell to a loved one.

Luke's journey into the funeral industry was not just a professional pursuit, it was a personal commitment to providing a level of care and understanding that surpasses the conventional funeral services. Fuelled by a passion for helping families navigate the difficult journey of loss, Luke recognised the need for a more personalised and affordable approach in an industry becoming dominated by large national firms.
Our Approach
Several studies have shown that family involvement throughout the funeral process is an important factor within the grieving process, yet many funeral directors would not want families to be present during the preparing of the body. Our gentle and respectful approach is why at Rushton Family Funerals we willingly involve families in all aspects of the funeral preparation if this is their wish, from dressing or gently washing their loved one, to carrying the coffin on the day of the funeral. This can make the process much more personal and meaningful and can help in the process of saying goodbye.
